Turkey has recently been struck by a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 on Monday - Feb. 6, 2023. The impact has been widespread and many communities have been severely affected. The people on the ground need above all drinking water, food, medicine, temporary shelters and protection from the cold. IBETH supports AKUT Search and Rescue Association as well as AHBAP Organization for the disaster in southeastern Turkey. These are entirely voluntary, non-governmental organizations involved in searching, assisting, and rescuing all who require aid within its authority and means during natural disasters or other emergencies operated by trained personnel with high-standard equipment. They provide shelter, food, and medical supplies with no political affiliation.
